I'm looking for a Quickdraw Animation Society style group in in the Metro Vancouver area (British Columbia). People to meet face to face with, not school/institute classes as such because, y'know, I've already got my degrees. 8-)
Also, I'd like to get my younglings (under 10) involved and the Parks and Recreation system isn't quite meeting our scheduling needs.

Hi there....I'm here in Vancouver myself, and off the top of my head, all I can think of to suggest is the following:
-some of the local animation-related 'groups' with representatives in town include Women in Animation (not just for women!) and the Vancouver SIGGRAPH chapter.

-Atomic Cartoons used to have a party each month for the local animation community with live music, drinks and cartoons. Haven't heard about it in awhile, so perhaps check with them to see if they're still holding them.

-Arts Umbrella on Granville Island has animation courses for kids.

Hope this helps! _________________ Ken Priebe
