Grey Kid

(Warning, the site requires Flash)

They are out of Hungary, and doing some nice work in 2D, both traditional and vector-based (using mostly Moho/Anime Studio Pro for the latter). Check out the clip from the feature 'La Reine Soleil' (under Portfolio/Features in the Flash menu).

Agreed. Grey Kid is doing some great 2-D work using Moho (now known as "Anime Studio" since being purchased by eFrontier) .

I prefer drawing frame-by-frame , on paper or on a tablet, but if I was going to do a Flash sort of thing I think I'd use Moho instead of Flash. What Grey Kid has shown is the level of control over timing and facial expressions that is possible with Moho/Anime Studio.

I like their work on this character for a PSP commercial:

There's an associated site which reveals a little bit of the Grey Kid production process here :

Yep, I've been using Moho/Anime Studio for a year or so, good vector animation tool.

The producer for Grey Kid shows up on the Anime Studio forum a lot, he says the key to doing this kind of animation is detailed pre-production work, whihc takes more time than the actual animation does.
