How did the festival go?

Any highlights from the festival? Will there be proceedings available? Cool

I keep checking in, too, to see what I can learn about it. My short, THE MAN WHO WALKED BETWEEN THE TOWERS won the Best 2D film, but I'd be interested in seeing a list of other winners. I wasn't able to attend the festival but am curious to know how it went as well.

One assumes it was a hectic ordeal for the organizers and info will be coming soon.

I just found Nancy Beiman's blog on which she has posted some information about the event and the list of student film winners:

It sounds like it was a good show for all.

Hi:

The Spirit Child is a beautiful film. You should be very proud of it. It certainly deserved the award it received. Congratulations.
The Spirit Child

Oh thank you ever so much!

'The man who walked between the towers' is beautiful, I saw it on the directors cut festival site (thats my brother's festival!).

Well done for winning best film, really fantastic!

I received my "Golden Pencil" award yesterday. It's a hoot! A large pencil stub that actually works. I have some pictures of it on my blog today: http://www.michaelspornanimation.com/splog/?p=865

With the Award came the gift of ToonBoom Studio. A surprise gift!

Tony has also written a good rundown of the Festival on a day-to-day which is worth reading. http://www.2dornot2d.org/2006-Fest.htm

Thanks to all connected to it.
