Mirage and TVPaint are now oneThe Mirage community got a big surprise yesterday to find that the Bauhaus Software website had been completely shutdown except for a single page with links for Mytoons. Apparently the legal issues between Bauhaus and TVPaint were settled once and for all and TVPaint is now the owner of the Mirage software line. To say the Mirage users are disgruntled is an understatment, as there was no warning or information forthcoming from Bauhaus, beyond some rumors and hints on the support forums.
So, there is now a mass migration of Mirage users hitting the TVPaint forums. I'd upgrade to TVPaint but the upgrade path is expensive, at least as expensive as what I paid for the full Mirage license. But those rotatable canvas and XSheet features sure are alluring...
